Tangerine pips competition to the post to win PR Agency of the Year
Tangerine PR is celebrating the taste of success after taking home the title of PR Agency of the Year at the inaugral How-Do Awards. Held in Manchester on 24th April 2008, the awards celebrate the best work from the North West’s leading broadcasting, publishing and communications companies.
How-do.com is the region’s leading industry website which, in only one year, has become one of the most read and talked about media platforms in the North West. The 14 awards attracted more than 180 entries; the PR category had a shortlist of six of the region’s most high profile and respected names on it.
Sandy Lindsay, managing director of Tangerine, said: “Tangerine is only six years old and we’ve picked up at least one business accolade a year since we launched. This is testimony to not only all the talented people who work at Tangerine, but also the great clients we have.
“2007 was a truly momentous year for us as a business, with the launch of our London office as well as the foundation of two new teams: Public Affairs and Event Management. And now this award has well and truly topped off our success.”
During 2007 a number of high profile clients including Bob the Builder, Dulux, Emmi, Stagecoach Manchester and Galaxy and Maltesers hot chocolate drinks chose to work with Tangerine.
The awards, judged by panel of acclaimed media figures, looked for examples of companies or organisations which clearly demonstrated transparent success in 2007: growth of the company or reversing decline, managing and overcoming adversities, job creation, financial performance, industry accolades, innovation, staff development and leadership.

Cube3 Marketing has beaten off a number of key competitors to land a prestigious SWOT marketing award.
The Hilton hosted event, sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Tayburn, Maincolour, Thompson, The Internet Advertising Bureau, News International, Feather Brooksbank, Oxford College and The Recommended Agency Register, rewards excellence in marketing across the media, marketing and design communities outside of London. Against an impressive short list, Cube were announced winners in Brand Development/Extension Strategy of the Year. Cube3 add flexibility to new CMS build for Alliance Learning
Cube3 Marketing recently redesigned and redeveloped the website for training provider Alliance Learning to provide flexible usability for the client alongside integration with brand guidelines.
Alliance Learning are one of the largest independent training providers in the North West specialising in the recruitment and training of young people through Government funded apprenticeships and the provision of a range of commercial training courses across various industry sectors.
As part of the redevelopment for Alliance Leanring, Cube3 implemented their latest and most powerful Content Management System (CMS) in order to manage current and future content requirements and allow collaborative development between the marketing department at Alliance Learning and Cube3's digital development team.

Potters Ltd are celebrating after winning the "Fastest Growing Business" Award at the recent Wigan Business Awards 2007. The glittering award ceremony was held on Friday 23rd November at the Wigan Investment Centre.

Tony Nugent of Anthony K Associates has a new role!
One of Mentor Corporate Coaching's long-standing partners, Tony Nugent, Managing Director of Anthony K Associates (www.anthonyk.co.uk) has taken on the role of 'President of the Rochdale Local Chamber Council". Tony is the Managing Director of Anthony K Associates based in Middleton. The company was formed by Tony in 1995 and they have been a Chamber member since incorporation. Tony has been actively involved with the Rochdale Chamber since 1997 prior to its merger with Manchester Chamber holding positions on the board, one of which was Chairman of the Membership Council which was responsible for dealing with members' local concerns and growth in membership. Tony is really looking forward to the role of Local President and is keen to increase awareness of the benefits of being a Chamber member and to increase the number of members in the local area.
